A tribal Haymeen is scanned by captain Flajard's crew.
Saktey, Dwarazy 24th, AOU 8633, Atris, Loraa - Haymeen scouts have found a primitive generation of the Haymeen on another planet, possibly taken there after being kidnapped by aliens when the Haymeen species was still nomadic.

Atris is about 7.56 parsecs away from Alfstad - about 600 million times the distance from the Earth to the Moon, although a Tritam (generation 3) can make the trip there and back about fifty times on one tank of fuel.

"On Ampash, another planet orbiting around Loraa, we found a piece of a scroll. It had some writing on it: 'Anything else is a guess. You might be good at guessing- but one wrong guess, at any time, can doom your species.'" quotes Haymeen captain Flajard. "This brings up more questions than answers. In the galactic code, there are stories of prophecies being the end of civilization - when an empire is about to end, they will make a prophecy before disappearing from the universe. My best guess is that whatever civilization kidnapped these early Haymeen also made this prophecy."

Loraa and Atris are surprisingly similar to Jastian and Alfstad: Both stars are yellow giants, both planets have red spice mines, and both planets have very similar atmosphere, terrain, and water colors.

The monolith placed by captain Flajard's crew.
"We put a monolith and some tracking probes on the planet, and by the next day, they had become a space civilization just like us," captain Flajard continues. "Even more similarities popped up: Their houses looked almost exactly the same as the ones on our home planet, they ended up being shamans, and their language was remarkably similar to ours - we didn't even need our translator to be able communicate."

Estimated to have branched off of the Haymeen evolutionary tree 20 million years ago, (approximately AOF 460,000,000), these newly found Haymeen, now known as Haymeen-B, had never evolved until the monolith was placed on Atris yesterday. Now, they've made the great leap into space. It is hoped that they will grow to the minimum 5 star point to join the Haymeen Empire, although monoliths can no longer help them. One of their ships has now joined captain Flajard's crew.

This news story is part of a series on Haymeen-B.
