Mesto, Dwarazy 39th, AOU 8633, Alfstad, Jastian - Haymeen Automotive Group (HAG) scientists released a new unmanned vehicle known as the hover pod at 14:47 Haymeen time, 12:29 PM CDT.

"What we are witnessing now may just be the end of repetitive labor," stated one Haymeen journalist. "We'll get jobs like spice mining done in a tenth of the time without anyone driving the vehicles. Planetary security will be a lot easier now that we can have these alert the defense force if anything suspicious shows up. Even jobs that were never thought possible by machines like farming can be done with almost no manual labor in a fifth of the time, since these hover pods are so fast and light."

"Each hover pod is equipped with 5 of a new type of thrusters which produce no visible emissions and can only be detected by the high pitched hum they produce. They are stabilized by gyroscopes, and can move at up to 380 miles per hour, or half the speed of sound," a HAG scientist announced at the unveiling.

When asked what the biggest problem in the creation of these hover pods was, a HAG scientist replied, "They kept crashing into things. Trees, the ground, rocks, each other, and unfortunately, some of our scientists, who spent a few weeks in the hospital. The problem is that they move so quickly that nobody sees them coming. The three holes you see in the front are actually part of an advanced sonar/radar system which allows them to detect everything around them in three dimensions up to about ten miles away. Once we got those working, the rest was relatively a breeze."

Each hover pod is about the of a small bush, about twice the size of an adult Haymeen's head. They currently cost about ยง5,000 each to produce - well above the price of a Tritam - which is only so high because there is no automated process for doing so yet. HAG expects that by next year, the price will have gone down tenfold.
